I bought this Korean Beech at a lovely bonsai shop in Brussels. They are mostly specialised in interior Bonsai but also have a very nice collection outside.

 

Beeches are quite fast growing trees so you have to wire them in time before the branches get too thick. Also the branches are quite delicate and they easily leave wiring marks, so don't wire too long or too tight.

As with most deciduous trees be careful for too much sun exposure and put them in the shade on very hot days. 

This tree is about 22 years old now.
