The Juniper (Juniperus) is a wonderful tree. It is often used for bonsai. There are many species and it is so appealing because the trunk becomes reddish at an older age.  The bigger trees' bark can be worked so that it looks warn by time and even struck by lightning. Amazing shari's and jin's can be created.
