The Pinus Parviflora or White Pine is one of the most used conifers in Bonsai. Often they are grafted on the base of a Black Pine which is a more vigorous tree and creates a rougher bark on the trunk.

I bought this tree from someone who retired from Bonsai and sold his collection. When I bought it, it was still a starter plant. So it needed some styling. And that's what I did by removing approximately 60% of the growth. Later on I created some jins and a shari to give it an older aspect.
This tree is approximately 25 years old.
I wish it would generate some more back budding. Which I think is one of the major challenges with cultivating bonsai.
